Dr. Jeff Tarrant, PhD, BCN, is a licensed psychologist and board-certified neurofeedback practitioner, working at the intersection of neuroscience, meditation, and technology-assisted mental health. He is the Founder and Director of the NeuroMeditation Institute and Psychic Mind Science, and serves as Executive Director of the Expanded States of Consciousness Research Institute (ESCRI) in Eugene, Oregon. He is also the Chief Neuroscientist for 40 Years of Zen, where he helps develop advanced brain-based training protocols designed to accelerate deep states of awareness and cognitive optimization.

Dr. Tarrant’s work focuses on advancing scientifically grounded approaches that integrate contemplative practices with neurotechnology to support mental health, resilience, and expanded states of consciousness. He has authored and co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters examining brainwave dynamics associated with meditation, neuromodulation. Known for translating complex neuroscience into practical clinical and educational applications, his work emphasizes methodological rigor, and innovative training models.
